  • Eva Goulbourne, CEO and Lead Instructor

    Eva Goulbourne, CEO and Lead Instructor

    Eva is a food systems strategist with 15+ years of global expertise across the foodservice, retail/CPG, and food philanthropy sectors. She was employee #1 of ReFED, responsible for securing the initial funding that helped it become the leading authority on food waste reduction it is today. Now, Eva helps both nonprofit and philanthropy clients design impactful funding strategies to address the climate crisis through food systems transformation. She is a member of the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers.

  • Nora Landis-Shack, MPH, CHES, Instructor

    Nora, a seasoned grant writer and social impact strategist, brings over a decade of experience securing $22M in grants. Holding an MPH from Columbia and pursuing a Masters in Food Policy from NYU (expected 2024), she excels at translating complex topics into engaging stories, leveraging her expertise in health, social determinants, food policy, and the therapeutic aspects of food.

  • Throughout the course, participants receive personalized guidance from course instructors and philanthropy experts, ensuring that their organization's unique strengths are highlighted in a way that captivates potential climate donors.

    Students will also have the opportunity to engage in weekly office hours which are dedicated to answering questions and reflecting on content.

    Finally, we will also invite all students to schedule a final 1-1 session with Eva Goulbourne in which they can invite their leadership team to engage in a discussion around what they learned and how the lessons will be applied.

  • Although the course content focuses on securing grant funding, which is often limited to nonprofit organizations, the curriculum will certainly apply to any food organization seeking to go after climate funding.

  • Participants can join a private LinkedIn group for course participants, providing a platform for ongoing networking and collaboration with like-minded peers, nonprofit professionals, and industry leaders beyond the course duration.

  • For our inaugural cohort (Spring 2024), we will limit the number of students to 25. We would like to provide an intimate, in-depth experience for all participants.

  • The Welcome and Orientation will be September 12, and the live sessions will be held September 17-October 24, 2024. In the weeks following, you will schedule a 1-1 session with Eva to integrate your learnings into your development plan.

  • The live courses will each be be one hour every Tuesday at 1-2 PM ET/10-11 AM PT. Office hours will be every Friday at 1-2 PM ET/10-11 AM PT.
